Jackson Howard began his career in commercial real estate when he co-founded Carolina Commercial Mortgage Company in 2007. Soon after, Jackson bought out his partners and re-branded the company to become Sweetwater Capital. As CEO, he is focused on the overall business strategy while still playing an active role with clients. Jackson specializes in multifamily assets, and has a vast knowledge of self-storage, retail, and hotels, having closed over $3 billion in loan volume.

Jackson is a member of the National Apartment Association, Triad Apartment Association, and Piedmont Triad Apartment Association.

Jackson graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a Bachelor in Business Administration in 1998. He then went on to receive his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance at the University of Georgia in 2002. Jackson has 3 boys and enjoys CrossFit, snowboarding and boating.
